Hey Gene, My first inclination was to tell you to go with the standard model, but your best bet would probably be to hit both of them on a launch monitor. I’d say I’ve picked up about 10 yards of carry and a little extra roll.

I wish to change the shaftbut i think that the red one is too much harder for tiatnium. That way you get more airtime but without substantially increasing backspin, which will shorten distance.
Loft and shaft combos have a lot to do with launch angle — as do our swings. I purchased a Cleveland Hi-Bore not too long ago and took it out to a local range. The XL certainly has a great sound, more a crack but not too loud.

The club feels beautifully balanced and you can definitely work it each way, but to be honest I’m really surprised how forgiving it is. The weight and length of the XL Pro forced me to ease up a bit as I allowed the clubhead to catch up.
Length wise- it is consistantly as long as the best shots I hit with the old model. Mine is actually 2. Almost night and day. I do like the Comp titaniim little better but I could live with either in my bag.
Also, consistent contact is a must in order to play titznium driver as the shallowness of the clubface leaves less room for error. I feel very confident that in another couple of weeks those shaved strokes will probably double. Mine is a red stiff shaft and I have been told it is conforming but the r and a website dont mention shafts. If I decide to butt trim it to bring down the swingweight, I will fire out another post.
Yesterday asked it to a friend, and went onto the course for test, only for two holes for time reasons. From the tee box I could see that the XL Tour had gone farther but the uphill slope of the fairway prevented a complete view.
