Really, for this particular matter of adio the device the DAC isn’t any different from a USB keyboard or mouse, which of course nobody would ever put up with cambtidge on reboot. I set everything up how CA suggest you do make it the default “speaker” in Windows Sound Control Panel app and its all latest drivers and firmware. My system is a HP Laptop running Windows Not considering an upgrade just yet, most of my money goes on vinyl, and any money going out now would be going towards some new speakers.
